It is reported that at the end of September, the market of Three Gorges human resources has conducted a survey about labor demand of the enterprises above designated size during the past four quarters, estimating that the city’s overall labor demand in the last quarter has risen by 1.2% compared with that of the previous quarter. Some of the enterprises, such as Lishi Group Limited and Xingyu Clothing Co., Ltd, have made a rapid increase in demand of employment as a result of their going into operation and business expansion. The employment demand of newly-started projects accounts for over 34% of the overall demand during the past four quarters.

Since this year, the enterprises’ wage level of human recourses market in Yichang has increased to some degree compared with last year, with more types and capacity of employment at the same time. Besides, the employers have become better aware of competition of human resources, thus they have made efforts in improving or optimizing the working conditions, wages, welfare, and accommodation, etc. Yichang has become an concentrative area of employment, whose employees from rural places and alien cities account for 36.5% of the overall employment.
