On October 18, the Yichang Citrus Production and Sales Situation Meeting was held. It is acknowledged that the citrus fruits sell well at present.

　　This year, the area of citrus plantation in the whole city has been developed to over 304,700 acres in total, and the output has reached 2.588 million tons, with an increase of 343 thousand tons, 15.1 percent higher than that of last year. Compared with last year\'s price, the present price is rather low, yet it will rise with more harvests to come.
