As part of the national industry planning, electric vehicles, so-called “low carbon and environmental protection”, enjoy broad space for development. Bureau of City Planning announced yesterday that the first large-scale charging station for electric vehicles would be installed in near future.

It is said that much like a gas station, electric vehicle charging station is no other than type of charging equipment with high efficiency for its ability to recharge cell phones, electric bicycles, electric cars, etc. At present, the use of electric vehicles in Yichang is only confined to electricity sector, such as power rush-repair cars, power supply cars. In future, they will be put in other means of transport like buses, and gradually be available to ordinary people’s vehicles. According to the “strategic cooperation framework agreement” signed by Hubei Electric Power Company and Yichang government, the location of this upcoming project has been initially set next to Dongshansanlu Bus Station.
