On December 6, the 2nd Conference on Construction of Forest Cities of Hubei Province was held in Wuhan. Six cities were bestowed on the title of “Forest City of Hubei Province”。

　　At the conference, the Organizing Committee and Executive Committee of Forest Preserve of Hubei Province voted on the six cities including Xiangyang, Jingmen, Xianning, Yidu, Enshi, Chibi as the qualified cities or counties with the title of “Forest City of Hubei Province” according to 36 criteria for forest preserve and construction, before which, the experts have visited the 6 cities for field inspection.

　　Since the beginning of this year, Yidu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have put forward the goal of constructing Yidu according to the criteria for the title of “Forest City of Hubei Province”。 To realize the goal, the county increased investment in forestation and forest preserve and expansion, and strived for construction of the local ecological system, which the fruitful work demonstrates at present and the title also proves.
