Faced with the uncertainty of weather and the upcoming passenger flow peak of New Year’s Day and Spring Festival, the traffic police departments in Yichang City initiate the management mechanism of transport during the Spring Festival period in advance and six fixed traffic safety service stations have been put into use, during which long-distance buses and school buses will be under strict monitor and supervision.

　　It is informed that these six stations located in Yemingzhu, Huayan, Linjiangxi, Huanghe Road, Yiling Yangtze River Bridge, Yichang Development Zone have been in operation all day to ensure travelers’ safety. Their main missions are to forbid overload of long-distance buses, to check drivers’ licenses and vehicle inspection valid or not, to prevent fatigue driving and to test vehicles’ safety facilities and tire wearing. The traffic police departments offer tips as below: driving in inclement weather in winter like heavy rain or dense fog, drivers should leave fog lamps open, keep right speed and safe distance between cars and it is highly not recommended to   switch driving lane frequently or swerve suddenly, or brake hard in case of rear-end accident.
