It was learned yesterday that Yin Weizhen, secretary and director of Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hubei Province, accompanied by Yuan Wendong, the deputy mayor inspected the urban construction of Yichang. On the same day a debriefing on housing security and urban & rural planning, construction and management was held in Taohualing Hotel. The reporter has learned that next year will see the construction of Qiuyutai Park and the reconstruction of Mojishan Park and Dongshan Park, ect.

　　It was also learnt that as for public facilities, such as galleries, Administrative Service Center, museums and Olympic Sports Center, their site selection and architectural design would be completed in 2013. The construction of urban expressways including Dongshan 4th Road and Dongyue 2nd Road will be enhanced, so as to form an inter-district, inter-section passage, namely a 15-minutes downtown traffic circle and a 30-minutes downtown system in all the counties.

　　It is estimated that 100 billion RMB will be put into the construction of a new district in the next five years during which the plan of 160 kilometers’ main road and 10 million square meters’ housing will be accomplished. The new district, which covers about 200 square kilometers, has nearly 100 square kilometers building area.

　　In addition, several public parks including Qiuyutai Park, Mojishan Park and Dongshan Park will be constructed or rebuilt. Qiuyutai Park, with a total area of 41.7 hectares, will be surrounded by Chengdong Avenue, East Railway Station 1st Road, Gonglian Road and East Railway Station 2nd Road, almost as large as 8 Yiling Square.
