At the 9th Kunlun Award—— “National Top Ten Courageous Heroic Drivers” Awards Ceremony held at the Great Hall of People in Beijing on December 25th, the taxi drivers Zhu Dongan and Chen Fake from Yichang got the honorary title of “National Courageous Heroic Drivers Group”. They arrived in Beijing on December 24th to attend the ceremony.

　　The selection activity was hosted by China Foundation for Justice and Courage and China National Petroleum Corporation. Zhu Dongan is a taxi driver from Yichang Transportation Taxi Company, while Chen Fake is from Kanglong Taxi Company. Around 8:00 on December 17th, 2011, Yang Rucheng, a taxi driver, was carrying a young man over 20 years old in his taxi, suddenly the young man held a dagger against Yang and robbed his waist bag as well as the cash. Having committed all this, the young man ran to the opposite and stopped Chen Fake’s taxi to escape. Yang Rucheng crossed the road and got on Zhu Dongan’s taxi to chase. Following all the way, they found the taxi was at the roadside and the young man was ready to get off, Zhu Dongan stopped quickly and rushed to hold the gangster’s hands behind his back, when Yang Rucheng rushed to clasp the gangster’s neck and Chen Fake pulled out the dagger hidden in his girdle. Finally, they three pressed the gangster on the ground.
