According to Mr. Wang, the deputy director of Xiling District Bureau of Civil Affairs, there were 401 couples getting registered yesterday, over ten times more than that of ordinary days. It has broken the record set on September 9 of 2009 with 273 couples registered in one day. In order to seize the so-called “auspicious hour”, numerous couples of bride and groom had been waiting in long patient queues as early as 5 o’clock outside the Register Office yesterday.
