On February 21, reporter learns from the Traffic Police Brigade in Three Gorges Dam Region that the 80-ton ship-chamber components of the TGP\'s ship lift arrived at the Three Gorges Site safely under the escort of the traffic police the whole journey. According to the notification of the construction side, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, about 90 percent of the components arrived at the Three Gorges Site now. And with these components, two-thirds of the chamber has been already welded.

　　Transported by a heavy plate tractor with 40 wheels, the 80-ton ship-chamber components with the dimension of 15 m×6m (length × width) started from the heavy cargo wharf at about 16:00, February 21st, at 17:00, they arrived at the Three Gorges Site in safety under the strict escort of the traffic cops.

　　According to the recommendation of Li Deming, the project manager of the CSIC, about 90 percent of the components arrived at the Three Gorges Site at the moment. The final batch weighing 180 tons will arrive in succession. It is expected that by 2015 the TGP’s ship lift will start trials after the assembly of the all the ship-chamber components.
