Yesterday, it was learned from the Three Gorges Navigation Administration that the Three Gorges Ship Locks approach channel began to desert, and this construction would last until March 10. One-way navigation has been executed by the Three Gorges Maritime Sector; maintenance has been carried out as well.

　　It is learned that the construction time starts from seven in the morning and ends at seven in the evening. The length of the working area is 750 meters, from the Xiling Yangtze River Bridge which is above the Three Gorges Ship Locks approach channel to the pierhead of dividing dikes (the upper reaches of the Yangtze River waterway mileage is about 42.5 KM to 40.55 KM) The region between Yanjiawan Wharf which lies in the right bank of the Yangtze River (the upper reaches of the Yangtze River waterway mileage is 41.0 KM) and Daishi Wharf(40.3KM) is for tossing ooze.

　　The Three Gorges Maritime Sector made unidirectional control on the water area between the Xiling Yangtze River Bridge (the upper reaches of the Yangtze River waterway mileage is 42.5KM) and Yingzizui (the upper reaches of the Yangtze River waterway mileage is 39.5KM ) during the construction period.

　　According to stipulations, construction vessels and facilities are expected to display signals in the right ways as the directions the Maritime Sector requested. Meanwhile, constructors are expected to strengthen management and keeping in touch with passing ships; moreover, whenever passing ships pass through this construction area, they are expected to follow the directions given out by the Maritine Department.
