On the evening of March 26, Chen Hechun, the deputy director of the Standing Committee of Municipal People’s Congress of Yichang, meets with Crescnzio Rivellini, the head of the European Parliament Delegation for Relations with China.   

   Of all the 35 European parliament delegations responsible for foreign relations, the size of European Parliament Delegation for Relations with China ranks the second, and it serves as the main government agency and channel for mechanically regular communication between European Parliament and National People’s Congress of China. This delegation was founded in September 2009, and its head Rivellini has on many occasions spoken that both sides should regard China-EU relationship from a strategic and long-term perspective and they will start from this parliament to promote steady development of bilateral relations.

　　Chen welcomes Rivellini and his delegation’s first visit to Yichang. After thanking Chinese staff and receptionists for their hospitality, Rivellini speaks highly of Yichang as a modern city with a promising future, and willingly discusses or explores the possibilities of cooperation in various aspects between Yichang Government and Italy and EU.
