Reporter learns on March 26 from Rebuilding Project Department of Yichang Railway Station of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co, .Ltd that the rebuilding project will be completed as early as the end of April and Yichang Railway Station is expected to greet her first passengers on May 1.

　　When reporter arrived at the construction site at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon, it was found that the erection of the electrified lines and the pedestrian bridge had finished and the constructors were busily paving the platform with bricks and building the underground passage.

　　According to the officer in charge of Rebuilding Project Department, the project started since October last year, which includes new electrified lines, pedestrian bridge, underground passage, broadening and lifting of the platform as well as re-laying the railway. It is said that the new station will be capable of providing passengers with bullet train service.
