Recently, the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges (Office for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs) of Ministry of Education in China has officially approved China Three Gorges University (CTGU) to enroll overseas students enjoying Chinese Government Scholarship, which makes CTGU the only one among provincial colleges and universities in Hubei Province.
　　Offered by Ministry of Education of PRC, Chinese Government Scholarship consists of full scholarship and partial scholarship, of which overseas students with full scholarship are entitled to exemption from registration fee, tuition, lab fee, internship fee, fees for basic learning materials, accommodation costs and to enjoy the same health service as Chinese students. Moreover, they can also receive the fringe benefits like the scholarship for the cost of living and one-off resettlement fee.
　　At present, there are nearly 900 overseas students in CTGU, the number of which ranks the first among provincial colleges and universities in Hubei Province.
