According to the meeting of urban comprehensive improvement held on the 13th, beautification of the facade of existing buildings, brightening lights, high standard fences and shop signboards in the scope of seven road sections will receive emphasis within the year.

　　The sections include Yunji Road, Riverside Avenue, Jucheng Road-Baisha Road, City East Avenue, Development Avenue, Dongshan Avenue and the Airport Road. The comprehensive improvement of 122 buildings should be done, including general improvement of 46 buildings, main improvement of 72 buildings and pulling down 4 buildings. The improvement projects include dismantling illegal buildings, beautification of the facade of buildings, unified regulations of burglar meshes, external units of air conditioners, awnings, shop signboards and advertisements. Meanwhile, the work of brightening 35 buildings should be done with contour lamps and projection lamps of high-rise architecture as key parts and urban road illumination as a link, making multilevel, multi-side and three-dimensional urban night landscape. It is requested that 30 construction sites which are being constructed or to be constructed should have high standard fences. This year, building fences should be as beautiful as a landscape, which is mainly on Riverside Avenue and City East Avenue. The fences may be printed with advertisements and public service announcements of which the latter ones should take more than 30 percent. At the same time, the improvement of shop signboards and advertisements on the nearby streets should achieve the effect of unification and tidiness.

　　According to the implementation plan, the overall improvement stage is from May to October. Apart from remolding Airport Road and comprehensive improvement of buildings along Dongshan Avenue, the rest of the projects should be accomplished by the end of October, with all projects being finished within the year.

　　Three fence projects have been finished at Wujiagang Primary School on Baisha Road so far. The statistics of started and completed fence construction projects account for 43% and 10% of the annual plan respectively. There are 6 lighting projects which have been completed and account for 17% of the annual plan.
