Conference on promoting the development of Hubei medical industry was held in Yichang yesterday. The reporter learnt that Yichang Biomedical Industry Park is to be one of the four key medical industry parks of Hubei Province. The other three ones are: Wuhan Biological Industry Base, Gedian Biomedical Industry Park and Shiyan Biomedical Industry Park.

　　During the conference, Ouyang Wankun, Director of Hubei Economy and Information Technology Commission, explained the Action Plan to Speed up Hubei Medical Industry which points out the prime operating revenue of Hubei medical industry should reach to 110 billion yuan by 2015 and 160 billion yuan by 2017, with annual increase of more than 19%. According to the Action Plan, based on Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd and HEC Group, Hubei Province will develop narcotic drug series, forge competitive industrial chain, improve the production condition and  productivity of freeze-dried powder injection, small-volume injection and powder injection, also vigorously increase the preparation of competitive products, aiming to increase the prime operating revenue of Hubei medical chemistry preparation to 40 billion yuan. Meanwhile, based on key enterprises, Hubei Province will strengthen the export superiority of hygienic material and speed up project construction such as medical engineering industry, R&D platform of vaccine specificity antibody detection reagent and middle China industry park of medical apparatus and instruments, striving to get 30 billion yuan of prime operating revenue of Hubei medical engineering industry.    

　　It’s acknowledged that, extending from north to west, Yichang Biomedical Industry Park is enclosed by Shuanghe Road, Weijiafan Road, Bailin Road, Jingyi Railway(Jingzhou-Yichang), Huaxi Road, 3rd Dongshan Road and Yichangdong Station Road. It will focus on research and manufacturing of biological products, pharmaceutical preparation, medicinal rubber plugs and narcotic drugs.
