On the afternoon of May 9, Huang Chuping, a member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Municipal Party Committee, hosted the Standing Committee Meeting of Municipal Party Committee to arrange for the 9th China International Folk Art Festival, the 4th China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival and the 3rd Yichang Yangtze River Piano Music Festival. It is requested that the festivals are to be held in September in Yichang, which should be wonderful, unforgettable, successful and economical ones.

　　China International Folk Art Festival, a large cultural program concerning foreign affairs, is approved by the State Council and hosted by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival is a festival activity initiated by National Tourism Bureau, Chongqing and Yichang in Hubei. Yichang Yangtze River Piano Music Festival is a large piano culture activity hosted by China Musicians Association and Yichang government and undertaken by Bosi Music Group.

　　 It is pointed out that cultural tourism is an about 100 billion industry that Yichang is building, a strategic emerging industry with a breakthrough and also a pillar industry in the future. By holding large festival activities, Yichang is to build festival brands to raise the popularity and reputation, encouraging a breakthrough in cultural tourism industry and promoting the construction of modern megacity. It is requested that with the whole city’s support, the overall arrangements should be made for the opening ceremony, reception work, news publicity, raising funds for festivals and manage it well. Great importance should be attached to demonstrate Yichang’s advantages of abundant tourism resources and attractive landscapes, revealing the regional characteristics and charming image and bridging between Yichang and the rest of the world.
