On May 9, four hospitals in Yichang, including Yichang Central People\'s Hospital, Yichang No. 1 People\'s Hospital, Yichang No.2 People’s Hospital, and Yichang Hospital of TCM, signed an energy-saving framework agreement with Shanghai Duyi Industry Co, Ltd. in order to fulfill the requirement of technological transformation, which suggests the beginning of comprehensive energy-saving projects in Yichang. Wang Guobin, Deputy Mayor of Yichang Municipal Government attended the signing ceremony and delivered a speech.

　　The contract of technological transformation follows the cooperative energy management. Shanghai Duyi Industry Co., Ltd. is the main supplier for energy-saving products, responsible for the equipment installation and test, which also offers technical assistance and financial support, its energy-saving benefits are shared by both sides. From August of 2012 to March of 2013, Duyi Industry Co, Ltd. has successfully dispatched engineers to partner hospitals to investigate energy consumption details in central air-conditioning systems, boiler systems, lighting systems, and power systems, after energy audit they made the technological transformation plans.

　　It is calculated that, after the technological transformation, the four hospitals will save 670 thousand cubic meters of gas, electricity consumption will be reduced by 1.37 million kWh, and standard coal consumption will decrease by 1,220 tons. Meanwhile, four hospitals can reduce 707 tons of carbon emissions and 2,600 tons of greenhouse gas emissions a year, this project will save money as much as more than RMB 3.5 million.
