The Municipal Government held a symposium on entrepreneurship and employment with some pioneers of university students\' on July 3rd, inviting them to share their personal experience. Ma Shangyun, Member of Leading Party Group of Municipal Government and Director of the Management Committee of the Economic and Technological Development Zone as well as some related officials attended the symposium and interact with them.

　　These pioneers include Qin Yao, Head of Changyang Bafeng Sweet Potato Co., LTD, who makes full use of sweet potatoes to develop a wide range of marketable products; Jiang Haipeng, General Manager of Hubei Neostar Incorporation; Huang Rong , a charismatic business woman, the General Manager of Yichang Eighteen Bay Local Specialty Co., LTD; Qin Jincai, a former postgraduate of China Three Gorges University, the General Manager of Yichang Jincai Technology Co., LTD; Zou Hui, Director of Yichang Balixiang Honey Professional Cooperative, who focuses on breeding bees; Su Shungang, Chairman of the Labor Union and Minister of the Human Resources  Department of Hubei Sanxin Silicon Co., LTD and Zou Shuang, Vice Minister of the Ammonium Phosphate Department of Hubei Yihua Chemical Co., LTD as well as Chen Yong , Deputy General Manager of the Yuan ‘an Branch of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co., LTD, who becomes a qualified manager from an inexperienced college student. They related their own breath-taking experiences respectively. All of them  thought that starting one’s own business is the most glorious chapter of life.

　　During the symposium, participants spoke out freely and reached a consensus that to Yichang, which is now on the journey of constructing a modern megacity, the so-called “hardest job hunting season in the history” presents more of an opportunity than a setback and in terms of the current employment situation in Yichang, the   demand for outstanding university graduates is greater than the supply. Thus, to fulfill Yichang’s aim of becoming the first choice for job-hunting college students in central China, Yichang should introduce favorable policy to attract talents that would serve as the intellectual support for its development.

　　Ma Shangyun proposed that we should widely publicize the stories of these pioneers to stimulate university students to start their own besiness. Moreover, he put forward several pieces of advice, guiding them to set up their own business. Firstly, work out a clear and overall plan, and then move towards it step by step. Secondly, be honest and trustworthy. Thirdly, as band is the intangible asset of an enterprise, always try to maintain good brand image. Fourthly, be innovative and develop new products that cater for the needs of society and customers. Last but not least, be persistent, since only perseverance can lead to ultimate success.
