More than 300,000 Market Entities Added in the First Half of the Year in Yichang

  Yesterday afternoon, the meeting of summarizing periodically the development of market entities in the whole city and the third economic census mobilization was held in the city proper, and two municipal leaders, Song Wenbao and Liu Jianxin, attended it.

  It is learnt that there are totally 507,844 market entities in the whole city by June 30 with an increase of 137 percent over the end of last year, including 451,306 individual businesses and 56,538 enterprises with an increase of 161 percent and 38 percent respectively. In the first half of this year, 304,786 markets entities have increasd which achieves 126.68 percent of the aim, including 288,138 individual businesses and 16,648 enterprises that achieve 126.19 percent and 135.86 percent of the aim respectively.

  The third economic census starts on December 31, covering government organizations and institutions, enterprises and individual business households. It is requested that all localities and departments should finish their own data ordering and checking before August, and then the massive inspection will start in September.

  Mr. Song, Member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice- mayor, said that developing the market entity and promoting nation-wide entrepreneurship are not stage work and all localities and departments should unify thinking, according to the three requirements Municipal Party Committee put forward, to solidify and improve preliminary achievements to make the work reach a new stage. For the census, he required all localities and departments to pay more attention to learn the planning and do their best to do economic census work; and then they should do census according to laws without false declaration or hiding the truth in making reports to improve the quality of the census; and they also should guarantee staffs, funds and facilities to make sure the work goes well.
