Yichang Three Gorges Logistics Park, as the largest logistics base in Central China, put into operation on July 24th, which marks the logistics industry with the output value of 100 billion RMB getting at the accelerated phase.
The construction of the Park started in September, 2011. It covers an area of 72 hectares in which the total construction area is of more than 800 thousand square meters. It was invested by Hubei Daohuaxiang Group with1.88 billion RMB in the first phase. According to the schedule, three functional areas, such as the Agricultural Trade City, Cold Chain Storage & Distribution Center and Logistics Information Trading Center, have been completed.
The Park is a large one-stop life products purchasing center. It is a compound service industry of integrating transport, warehousing, freight forwarding and information with characteristics of intelligence, diversification, one-stop shopping and so on. When the project puts into operation, it can realize annual cargo throughput of 7.2 million ton, which can solve the employment for 30 thousand people and achieve the profits and taxes over a hundred million RMB.
