The unveiling ceremony of the first batch of Education Bases of CPC’s History took place on July 30 in front of the Revolution Martyr Monument of Dongshan Park in urban area. Liu Yefa, Vice-Director of Research Office of CPC’s History of Hubei Provincial Committee, Wang Xingyu, Director of United Front Work Department, and Huang Ke, Vice-president of Yichang Municipal Political Consultative Conference, attended the ceremony.

　　After several rounds of recommendation and appraisement, four sites including Yichang Municipal Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyr, Memorial Hall of Revolutionary Martyr of Western Hubei Province, Showroom of General He Bingyan, Revolutionary Site of Machi Ancient Village were approved by Yichang Government as the first batch of municipal education bases of CPC’s history, so that we can make full use of red resources, and equally boost the work of building education bases of CPC’s history.

　　Wang said that Yichang City had witnessed innumerous revolutionary activities that happened here in CPC’ history, which left a large number of revolutionary sites, remains, and historic records here that were valuable historical heritage and spiritual treasure to modern people. It is of much importance and far-reaching significance to educate and affect our CPC members, cadres, common people, and particularly the teenagers with CPC’ history. It is worthwhile to make an effort to built, to manage and fully use these bases because of their educational function.

　　Wang instructed that Party Committee and Government at all levels, as well as department concerned in Yichang, shall put more funds into these bases according to elaborate planning, expanding their collections, bettering their infrastructure, improving their level of exhibition, heightening their educational effect; besides, we shall help the masses deepen their understanding of CPC, promote the relationship between CPC and the masses, and strength people’s belief in CPC’ s policies and principles. We are doing this because in the process of building Yichang into a modern megacity with “Yichang Dream”, “Megacity Dream”, and “Sense of Well-being Dream”, the powerful internal impetus and strong belief that we must draw on all come from these efforts we are intended to do.
