On August 5, Yang Meiren, a Director of Management Committee of Yichang Hi-tech Zone, told the reporter that with full politic enthusiasm, the bravery of daring to be the first, we will build the Zone into the first-class all over the country. Yang said that at present, the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government strongly support the development of the Zone, which is the greatest politic resource and development opportunity for the Zone. Meanwhile, we will take the greatest effort to promote the construction and continuously strengthen the sense of service, responsibility and innovation to develop six industries with the output value of 100 billion RMB respectively. We should fully use all the advantages and potential, implement measures for rapidly developing pillar industries, such as equipment manufacturing, biological medicine, advanced materials and new energy. At the same time we should develop high and new technology industry, strategic emerging industry and modern service industry to form five new industries, including financial technology, commercial logistics and culture creativity, making the Zone be worthy of the name of the core economic growth area, industry upgrading demonstration area, advanced area of reform and opening, model area of innovation & development and expanding area of city construction.
