On August 16,  the television and telephone conference was held in Yichang on deepening reform of medical and health system, and the work of health care reform this year has been arranged. Ma Xuming, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Yichang, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Wang Guobin, Vice Mayor chaired the meeting.

　　Mr. Ma pointed out that departments at all levels must deepen medical reform with the reality of Yichang in accordance with national and provincial requirements on health care reform.

　　Mr. Ma stressed that departments at all levels should grasp key points in these four aspects: First, we should enhance quality of the basic medical insurance, continue to expand basic medical insurance coverage, and actively promote the protection construction of major diseases insurance, emergency rescue mechanism and disease relief system, improve the basic medical insurance management capabilities and services; Second, we should further expand the implement scope of the essential drug system, innovate in performance evaluation mechanism, perfect multi-channel and long-term compensation mechanism, make efforts to implement the compensation policy for rural doctors; Third, we should timely start the second batch of the comprehensive reform of county public hospitals, enhance service capabilities of county hospitals; Fourth, we should push forward the social medical construction actively and steadily, continue to promote the equalization of essential public health service, make innovation in health personnel training system, and further optimize health care resource allocation, promote the information construction of the medical treatment and public health.
