On August 17th, the meeting on the construction of information netwoork engineering concerning standardization of livestock and poultry breeding was held in Yidu to promote the pollution control model, such as the indepth treatment of feces, wastewater, ecological farming of biogas slurry irrigation and circular utilization of land to create a clean breeding environment.

　　According to Yichang Animal and Veterinary Administration, friendly environment is the premise of standardized breeding. It is planned to have a thorough renovation of 224 intensive pig farms in Yidu in three years. Yidu’s pollution control model is worthy of promoting in Yichang.

　　From 2010, on the premise of argol cleared away manually, and sewage separation technology, Yidu have bulit dunghill pool, biogas fermentation tank, two stage precipitation filter tank for 224 large-scale pig farms which have an area of 300 square meters or sell more than 500 pigs every year. Besides, the argol will be reused after manual clear, urine will be reused after two stage precipitation or discharge after degradation, which means animal breeding will say goodbye to environment pollution.

　　At present, 16 large scale pig farms in Yidu have experienced the  pollution control projects. This year, 1.74 million RMB has been invested to 23 big pig farms to have a comprehensive treatment, which is in operation. And the remaining 185 pig farms are expected to enjoy the renovation within 3 years.

　　In order to ensure the completion renovation of all big pig farms within 3 years, 9.6 million RMB is expected to invest. The qualified pig farms will enjoy 50 percent subsidy ( half of the totle investment ) to arise the breeders\' enthusiasm of standardization transformation.
