On August 20, representatives attending the meeting on rural social management innovation experienced the convenience brought by rural grid management and smooth informatization. Li Yalong, Chairman of Yichang CPPCC, and Deng Huilin, Vice Secretary of Yichang Municipal Standing Committee, attended the meeting.

　　After related officials of Yidu City, Yingling District, Zigui County and Changyang County introduced their experience, Li stressed that rural social management innovation should be carried out by taking the national social development model as an example, so that the pilot sites are widespread this year and comprehensively launched the next year. Pilot sites should be in operation in half of the administrative villages in Yidu and Yiling District this year, and at least one pilot village should be settled in each town of other counties or districts.

　　Li also pointed out that when advancing rural social management innovation, the related officials should go to the grassroots and establish a complete integrated information system of the rural social management. The most prominent problem in rural social management is service. Therefore, the level of integrated service should be further improved and dynamic real-time basic information system of rural population should be set up. The information system covers the information about land contract right, forest right and house right, as well as the basic information about farmers’ production and living. In the meantime, new ways to informationize rural social management should be explored, combining electronic administrative affairs of the village, studying, commerce and service to fully reflect the transition from management to service and provide farmers with more diverse services.

　　Deng Huilin stressed that related departments should take into account the fact that Yihcang has both old and new districts, as well as both plains and mountainous area and adjust measures to local conditions to better the service for special people and reduce social contradictions, thus making social management innovation to truly serve for the masses.
