“Three Festivals including the Ninth China International Folk Art Festival, the Fourth China Three Gorges International Travel Festival and and the Third China Yichang Yangtze River Piano Music Festival will be held in September in Yichang,” the Deputy Mayor of Yichang Municipal Government Wang Yinghua said on August 20 in Wuhan. He pointed out that Yichang Government would present the world three grand festivals strictly under the principle of standard management, practicing economy and combating waste.

　　China International Folk Art Festival, which is approved by the State Council and takes place every three years, is a big foreign-related cultural project sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and the only large international folk art festival in China. It is informed that the Ninth China International Folk Art Festival will be cosponsored by CFLAC and Hubei Provincial Government and co-hosted by Hubei Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Yichang Municipal Government.

　　China Three Gorges International Travel Festival is a large pageant for tourism that is cosponsored by National Tourism Administration (NTA) and Hubei Provincial Government and Chongqing Municipal Government, Hubei Provincial Government and Chongqing Municipal Government have taken turn to host it for three times. The Fourth China Three Gorges International Travel Festival will be cosponsored by NTA and Hubei Provincial Government.

　　The Third China Yichang Yangtze River Piano Music Festival will be cosponsored by Chinese Musicians’ Association and Hubei Provincial Government, and held by Parsons Music Group.

　　According to introduction, the duration of the Three Festivals will span eight days from September 14th to 22nd and the opening ceremony is to be on September 16. And these festivals will consist of five parts with more than twenty activities in all, including cultural-oriented travel, economic and trade activities, meetings and seminars, publicity and marketing, project construction promotion and improvement activity of view of the city.
