On the afternoon of September 15, the signing ceremony of cooperative projects (investment fair of the three festivals, the 9th China International Folk Art Festival，the 4th China Yangtze Three Gorges International Tourism Festival, the 3nd Yichang Yangtze Piano Music Festival) was held in Yichang, investment reaching over 100 billion RMB by contracts with 53 projects signed on spot. Several government leaders attended the ceremony, such as Huang Chuping, Ma Xuming, Wang Xingyu, Li Yalong, Song Wenbao, Ma Xuejun, Yuan Weidong, Zheng Xinghua, etc.

　　At the investment fair, about 350 businessmen from home and abroad watched the introduction video of building Yichang to be a modern megacity and were informed of the industry layout, new district planning and investment environment. Li Weinan, General Manager of Yichang CSG Polysilicon Co., Ltd, and Jiang Nan, Chairman of Guangdong Sunrich Group, delivered a speech respectively. 12 projects, including Yichang East Railway Station Commercial Complex, the first phrase of Yichang Olympic Spots Center, Yichang Planning Exhibition Hall, Yichang Museum and Moji Mountain Park, have been signed in Yichang New District, the investment hotspot of the investment fair. The amount of investment by contracts reaches 40 billion RMB.

He said that Yichang today enjoys a prosperous social and economic development with expanding urban size and many honorable titles, such as National Model City, National Health City, National Model City for Environmental Protection, National Forest City, etc. Being a livable and prosperous city, Yichang has attracted widespread attention from home and abroad. This year, with the construction of modern megacity as the basis and Yichang High-tech District, Yichang New District, Yichang Three Gorges International Tourism and Resorts Zone, Three Gorges Project as the platform, Yichang held 3 magnificent investment promotion events, butt joint of enterprises under the supervision of central government in Beijing, overseas business invitation in Hongkong and domestic business invitation in Wuhan, reaching 300 billion RMB investment by agreement. Many a company has joined the construction of Yichang to be a modern megacity. Within a few years, Yichang expects 200-300 square kilometers urban area with 2-3 million permanent residents, creating 500-600 billion RMB economic value.
