With the aim to cope with the aging of population and to quicken the pace of the aging undertaking, a new program named Happiness Program for the Elderly was launched on the morning of September 16, 2013 by Charity Federation of Yichang City. A million RMB was donated to construct thirteen programs, such as installation of solar water heater with the capacity of twelve tons for municipal special care hospitals, assistance program for homeless senior citizens by Municipal Salvation Management Station, caring program by the Welfare House in Xiao Ting District. Among the donation, half was contributed by Hubei Xiling Wine Co., Ltd, and another half was raised by Charity Federation of Yichang City.
