  There was an air of festivity in Yichang during the National Day.

  Dancing and Singing Performance of Tujia Minority was presented by Three Gorges Art Troupe on Tanziling, the commanding height of Three Gorges Scenic Spot, which offered tourists a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery and folk customs at the same time. On October 2nd, more than fifty-two thousand tourists visited the Three Gorges Dam, hit a historical high. Another 5A Scenic Spot, the Three Gorges Folk Custom Tourist Site, newly launched a live show “Sunny in East and Rainy in West”, which talked about modern Tujia people in Bawang Village, representing tourists with culture and history of Tujia Minority.

  Various cultural and recreational activities were carried out in the downtown. Yesterday afternoon, in the library municipal, accompanied by the parents, dozens of children were reading books in children’s reading room. It was learned that more than nine hundred readers visited the library that day. The library opened normally during the National Day and provided books, internet and movies to citizens free of charge.

  The Fourth Senior Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Ecological-cultural Tourism Circle in Western Hubei was held by Yichang City Museum. More than four hundred exhibited works arose highly praise among the citizens. (Reported by Tang Yigui)
