According to the Second Batch of the Lake Protection List launched on the official website of the Hubei Province, only five lakes in Yichang were selected to the list among 447 lakes throughout Hubei Province. And yet Shishou City, a county-level city in Jingzhou, with its 119 lakes such as Xiaoyazi Lake, Baisha Lake of Honghu Lake on the list this time, which accounted for almost thirty percent of the list, was the biggest winner with the largest number of protected lakes this time.

　　The lakes on the list in Yichang include Dangjia Lake and Qingming Lake at Wen’an Township of Zhijiang County-level City, Jijia Lake at Caobuhu Township of Dangyang County-level City, Gaozhuangqiao Lake and Guizi Lake at the Gaobazhou Township of Yidu County-level City. In addition, the lakes on the First Batch of Lake Protection List in Yichang include Taojia Lake between the Wen’an Township and Qixingtai Township, Donghu Lake between the Majiadian Street and Wen’an Township and Xiannü Township, Taiping Lake at Wen’an Township, Liujia Lake between Majiadian Street and Wen’an Township, Wuliu Lake and Yangjiadang Lake at Majiadian Street. All this is located in Zhijiang City, a county-level city in Yichang.
