On October 16, 16 teams of skilled construction workers dressed in work suits of various colors stood on the construction site of "New Bund Project" on the Riverside Road. With the command given by Mao Chuanqiang, Deputy Mayor of Yichang, the final competitions of Professional Skill Contest of Yichang Construction Industry was officially started.

　　There are 4 sections in the final competition, namely masonry, steel work, incrotation and fine woodwork, with over 10 assessment standards. Each of the participants displayed their skills and won applauses from the audience.

　　After the five-hour fierce competition, Lei Bisheng, Fu Xianguo, Kang Daofeng and Fu Kexiang stood out from the 64 competitors and won the four champions of their respective section. "The construction industry of Hubei Province enjoys a reputation nationwide and this contest is a distinguished gathering which can enliven our provincial construction market." Said Qu Bo, Deputy Inspector of Provincial Housing Construction Office. It\'s known that 80 percent of employers in the construction industry in Yichang are migrant workers. At present, a great large number of skilled labors are desiderated for the new district construction moving into top gear. The aim of this contest, jointly held by Yichang Federation of Trade Unions, Yichang Housing Construction Committee and Yichang Human Resource and Social Security Bureau and undertaken by Guang Sheng Construction Group of Hubei Province, is to build a team of skilled talents in the construction industry.
