On October 25th, Planning of Yichang Comprehensive Transportation System (2011-2030) was assessed. It is learned that Yichang has planned to establish 3 rail transit lines ( and 5 bus rapid transits). The stops along the rail transit lines have been confirmed by the plan. Relevant departments will discuss whether they should be metro lines or light rail lines.

　　It is reported that by the end of 2030, Yichang will finish building 3 rail transit lines and reserve 2 rail transit lines.

　　Line 1: From Yiling Passenger Station in Xiaoxita Town in Yiling District to Vocational Education Park in Longquan Town

　　This line will go through the Yixing Avenue, Ganghong Road, Yiling Avenue, Jucheng Road and Yidang Road, with total length of 30 kilometers. There are 22 stops in this line, namely, Yiling Passenger Station, Stadium Stop, Donghu Avenue Stop, Changjiang Market Stop, Yemingzhu Stop, CTGU (China Three Gorges University) Stop, Xiba Island  Stop, Donghu First Road Stop, Xiling Second Road Stop, Yiling Square Stop, Guoyuan Road Stop, Yichang People\'s Central Hospital Stop, Gangyao Road Stop, Yangcha Road Stop, Baota Road Stop, Wangjiahe Park Stop, Jindongfang School Stop, Wuyi Square Stop, Yichang East Railway Station, Dongzhan Second Road Stop, Gongsheng Village Stop and Vocational Education Park Stop.

　　Line 2: From Gongtong East Road in Wujiagang District to Baiyang Junction Station

　　This line will go through the Dongzhan Road, Yigu Road and Xiaoting Avenue. At Xiaoting Junction Station, there will be two branch lines. One goes along Qilichong Road, Zhangjiawan Road, Yingbin Avenue, and finally to the Junction Station of Yichang Sanxia Airport. The other one is along Xiaoting Avenue to Baiyang, with the total length of 40 kilometers. There are 13 stops in this branch line, namely, Gongtong East Road Stop, Yichang East Railway Station, Dongzhan First Road Stop, Bailinhe Road Stop, Zhangjiawan Road Stop, Xiaoting Stop, Qilichong Road Stop, Sanxia Airport Stop, Yunchi Stop, Baiyang First Stop, Baiyang Second Stop, Baiyang Third Stop and Baiyang Junction Station.

　　Line 3: From Jiangjiawan in Xiaoxita Town in Yiling District to Yichang South Railway Station in Dianjun District

　　Starting from Yiling Passenger Station in Xiaoxita Town, Yiling District, along Fazhan Avenue, Xiling First Road, passing through Changjiang Tunnel to Jiangjun Road in Dianjun District, arriving at Yichang South Railway Station, this line is about 26 kilometers. And there are 15 stops including Jiangjiawan Stop, Xiaoya Road Stop, Yiling Passenger Station, Meiziya Stop, Liujiawan Stop, Dongshan Bus Terminal Station, Jingkai Second Stop, Economic Development Zone Stop, Sijia Market Stop, Chengdong Avenue Stop, Yiling Square Stop, World Trade Building Stop, Sports Park Stop, Shuangshi Road Stop and Yichang South Railway Station.

　　Two rail transit lines are reserved. One is from Xiaoting Junction Station to Downtown of Yidu, passing through Honghuatao, Gaobazhou and Yaojiadian. The other is from Baiyang Junction Station to Downtown of Zhijiang along G318.

　　This planning focuses on the transportation system, the urban road system, the public transportation network, the sidewalk and bikeway system, the passenger transport terminals, the urban parking system, the freight system, the traffic management and traffic informationization in Yichang.
