On October 24, the opening ceremony of  the Second People’s Hospital of China Three Gorges University was held in Yichang Second People’s Hospital, which has been set up by China Three Gorges University and Yichang Second People’s Hospital. At the ceremony the cooperative agreement was signed.  Zou Zhengjin, Deputy Director of Yichang People’s Congress, Wang Guobin, Vice Mayor of Yichang City, Cai Jian’guo, Vice Chairman of Municipal Political Consultative Conference; He Weijun, President, Zou Kun, Vice President of China Three Gorges University attended the ceremony.

　　At the ceremony, Vice President Zou Kun read out the document on establishing the Second People’s Hospital of China Three Gorges University and signed the agreement for co-building with He Huiqing, Director of Yichang Second People’s Hospital. President He Weijun, with Vice Mayor Wang Guobin, unveiled the nameplate and made a speech.

　　Founded in 1954, Yichang Second People’s Hospital, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and prevention, is the only level 3 general hospital characterized by tumor treating in the Three Gorges Area. The Hospital equips more than 1000 sickbeds, the Oncology Department is one of the key specialities in Hubei Province. According to the agreement, both sides are to cooperate on the aspects of team construction, talent training, discipline construction and scientific research. (Correspondent Liu Xuanchuan)
