Zhijiang investment projects promotion event was held in Yichang City on October 30th, and Zou Zhengjin, Yuan Weidong and Qu Peng, leaders of Yichang Government, attended the event. With the total investment of 40 billion RMB, 24 projects were signed for the construction of specialized parks, new urban district, recreation area, ‘four modernization’ demonstration zone and four platforms. Among the projects, 80 percent were livelihood projects and tertiary projects.

　　According to Xu Zhihua, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhijiang City, while maintaining rapid economic development, Zhijiang Government attaches great importance to urban-rural integration development, ecological environment development and improvement of people’s livelihood and living quality. Zhijiang Government will continue to attract investments to promote its transformation development on the basis of four platforms construction.

　　Zhijiang Government launches its construction of New Urban District with 11.72 square kilometers in the west of the city this year. In the construction of this district and New Urban District in the north of the city, the Government introduces enterprises with better economic strength, high-level management, strong quality consciousness and rich experience in construction. They take part in road network and large public facilities projects construction so as to make these new districts ecological and livable.

　　Located near the airport, Yangtze River, ports and railways and possessed a beautiful landscape with abundant water resource as well as many industries, Zhijiang enjoys advantages of transportation, environment and pillar industry, which attracts many merchants attention in the investment projects promotion event. Seventeen projects of tertiary industry have landed in Zhijiang. Making use of more than 470 hectares natural waters in the east of the city and uniting with Mituo Temple and Jinshan( Golden Mountain) Forest Park, the projects of Jinhu(Golden Lake) Scenic Zone builds a 5A comprehensive resort with commercial recreation, agritourism recreation, water recreation, resort accommodation, fair and exhibition, religious culture and natural landscape.

　　Holding fast to Anfusi Town’s opportunity of being a pilot demonstrational town of provincial “four modernization”, Zhijiang Government attracts 4.8 billion RMB to help the construction of 6 projects, including the new community, city roads and bridges and large-scale public facilities. Anfusi Town will be a first-rate town of agriculture products processing, the East Group of modern megacity of Yichang and back garden of the city.
