Yichang Financial Institutions Lend 180 Million RMB to Support Orange Sales

  On November 13, Reporter learned from the Municipal Orange Office that 1.61 million tons of oranges have been sold out by November 10 this year, accounting for 56 percent of the expected 2,881,800 tons of total output, which is at a faster rate than the same period last year. Now it\'s a peak selling season for oranges, the Three Gorges Rural Commercial Bank, Yichang Branch of Agricultural Bank of China, Yichang Branch of the Agricultural Development Bank and other financial institutions speed up to open up the credit green channel. Support loans, which have already been issued to 13,330 orange growers, over 340 orange cooperatives and production, sales and processing enterprises, reach 182 million RMB.

  It is reported that the Three Gorges Rural Commercial Bank and other rural financial institutions have successfully developed 2059 corporate online banking users and 3206 personal online banking users, aiming at orange waxing, packaging, selling enterprises and individual businesses. Online banking and mobile banking services can be used in any places with internet and cell phone signal. All towns in Yichang have the access to nationwide network, universal deposit and withdrawal and direct funds, which facilitate the quick account settlement of orange buying and selling.

  In addition, through loans green channel, financial institutions simplify the application procedures for loan and settling account and supply prompt service so as to fully ensure and support the orange sales. Rural Commercial Banks in Zhijiang have implemented the program that villages or orchards take responsibility for the orange sales. The loan officers go to farm fields or farmers’ home to offer credit funds in a limited time. Individual working capital loans within 50,000 RMB can be accepted and done in only one day.
