In the early morning of November 15, the first transmission line with 220 kW, a related construction of Huarun Thermal Power Plant in Xiaoting District, Yichang City, is successfully put into use, and it is predicted that the plant will be officially combined to the grid at the end of the year.

　　At the scheduled time, Huarun Thermal Power Plant will replace Yihua Pacific Thermal Power Plant with low efficiency, high energy consumption and a large amount of quantity of pollutant discharge to meet the need of the centralized heating and electricity using of the enterprises in industrial park in Xiaoting District. It is learnt that, at present, only the Pacific Thermal Power Plant of Yihua Group can provide the heating supply in the park, but its heating capacity is very limited. To further strengthen environmental protection and finish the work of energy conservation and emission reduction, Yichang Government plans to close Yihua Pacific Thermal Power Plant in city proper, so Huarun Thermal Power Plant in Xiaoting District is to be the largest one in Yichang after it is combined to the grid.
