According to the bulletin issued by the Public Security Bureau of Yichang city on November 26th, since last year, public security departments at various levels in Yichang city have been active in “drawing sword” to facilitate city’s economic construction and the building up of a “big, strong, excellent and beautiful” modernized mega-city. They have investigated and tackled successfully 93 major cases in all kinds which impair the interests of enterprises, redeeming a loss of more than 20 million yuan for enterprises.

　　The Bureau employees inform that, in the service for economic construction, all the public security departments endeavor to build up a security brand “Safe Yichang" by griping the pulse of social-economic development, offering an active service and overcoming all kinds of difficulties. They have introduced six specific initiatives as below: sparing no effort to maintain social stability; providing an active guidance and invoking self precaution against crimes; cracking down illegal and criminal activities sternly; prioritizing the elimination of unsafe factors in surrounding environment; providing legal protection affirmatively; and keeping up offering convenient services. Besides, in light of the spirit of document issued by superior department of public security, 22 measures have been introduced to service the economic development of Yichang and the people\'s livelihood.

　　Deng Huilin, member of the Standing Committee of Yichang Municipal Committee, deputy secretary of Politics and Law Committee of Yichang Municipal Committee, and director of Yichang Public Security Bureau, once led a special team to visit the Yangtze Power Co., Ltd., Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. where he had an informal discussion, collected 8 pieces of advices, and dealt and answered a series of questions on the spot about the perimeter security environment of the enterprises, road traffic and so on. Similarly, Yichang public security organs at all levels have always kept in touch with 157 key enterprises and served them in accordance with the three principles as “one person is responsible for one enterprise”, “one unit is responsible for a number of enterprises” and “the jurisdiction public security organs are responsible for its own area”.

　　This year, the Public Security Bureau of Yichang city has launched an activity called "thousands of police enter into net grids”, practicing “1+1”or “1+N” personal service with net grid police serving key construction projects. Everyone in the Bureau, regardless the party committee member of the Municipal Public Security Bureau or common policeman, is requested to contact a grid, enter into it and work at the site of the enterprises\' program at least for a week, serving the people heartily and performing 5 functions of services, namely, information gathering, public opinion collecting, conflicts resolving, security protecting and masses serving.

　　The Bureau holds firmly that "social security is the foundation of the investment environment" and "public security work is also a productive force", and performs its duties actively, striving to escort the city for economic development. Since 2012, it has carried out in-depth struggles against sinister gangs and outlaws, dealt with 93 cases jeopardizing the enterprises\' interests, and redeemed a loss of more than 20 million yuan (Reporter Gong Changjun, Correspondent Gong Xuan)
