According to the latest Modern Logistics Industry Development Plan of Yichang City (2013 - 2016), the municipal government indicates that Yichang will build ten integrated logistics parks, nine professional logistics centers and a logistic information system covering Yichang city proper and the transportation hubs in the Three Gorges Area in 2016. At that time, Yichang will become a logistics node city in the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze Rivera, and its logistics industry will get developed into a pillar industry with gross revenue of more than 100 billion yuan.

　　It is reported that the gross revenue of logistics industry in Yichang in 2013 has reached 71 billion yuan and is expected to hit 120 billion yuan in 2016. At that time, the government will foster five key logistics enterprises with gross revenue of 10 billion yuan including Yichang Port Group, Gezhouba Group Logistics Co.,Ltd. and the Three Gorges Logistics Park, 10 key logistics enterprises with gross revenue of 5 billion or 100 million yuan. The new AAA and higher level logistics enterprises will number 20, among which AAAAA enterprises will be 3. In addition, third-part logistics enterprises, including three top 100 in the world and domestic top 50, will be introduced to Yichang to develop Yichang into the hub of transfer and distribution in the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze River, the cradle for regional logistics headquarters and the resource allocating and trading center for producing factors of regional logistics.

　　In the next three years, Yichang will accelerate the clustered development of logistics industry. Relying on its train station, ports, airports, highways and other transportation hubs, the government, according to the overall planning of Yichang City, will rationally layout and build 10 integrated logistics parks: Fanba Logistics Park of Mao Ping, Three Gorges(Zigui County), Taipingxi Port Logistics Park, Yunchi Port Logistics Park, Hong Huatao Logistics Park, Zhicheng Port Logistics Park, Three Gorges Airport Logistics Park, Yichang Railway East Station Logistics Park, Xiaoxita Logistics Park, Dongshan Trade Logistics Park and Dianjun District Logistics Park. Moreover, based on industrial parks and large enterprises, the government will also build 9 professional logistics centers, including Yunchi Port Bonded Logistics, Jin Dongshan E-commerce Logistics, Biomedical Logistics, Baiyang Chemical Logistics, FuCheng Emergency Logistics, Aiben Auto logistics, Changyang Mountain Vegetables Cold-Chain Logistics, Steel Logistics and Network Cargo Express Delivery Logistics.
