Information from Yichang Citrus Sales Office on December 6 reveals that, expiring on December 4, the total sales of citrus in the whole city has reached 2.08 million tons, accounting for 72.1% of total production of 2,881,800 tons. The current average price of citrus field is 1.66 RMB / kg, with the lowest being 0.8RMB / kg, the highest being 2.8 RMB / kg, up 0.22 RMB / kg over the same period last year , demonstrating a growth rate of 15% and a 4% monthly rise.

　　According to the City Citrus Sales Office staff, it is the peak seasons of Ponkan(Citrus reticulata Blanco). "Qingjiang Ponkan", produced in Changyang, has gained a good reputation due to the high quality and peculiar geographical position. The present price of the super grade Ponkan (the size of the Ponkan is over 75mm)is about 2.8 RMB / kg, and the top grade (the size is about 70mm to 75mm) is about 1.8 RMB / kg. Around December 8, the Changyang Ponkan harvest will come to an end, and then it will be put in storage, deposited and sold. The price is about 0.5 RMB / kg higher than that of last year.
