On December 9th, an accreditation was completed about the planning of citrus theme park in Yichang city, the first Agricultural Specialty Park (Citrus) to be built in city center in China.

　　This citrus theme park will be located at the border of Xiling and Wujiagang District, north to Gangyao Road, south of the Zhongnan Road, east of Jin Dongshan Market with a total planned area of about 800 acres. As an important part of the ecological system in Yichang City, it’s featured with an overall landscape of "Urban Citrus Park", which is designed to fulfill the following major functions: citrus theme amusement, citrus cultural experience, citrus knowledge popularization, and citrus scientific research. The Park space is divided into four areas like research culture exhibition, sightseeing and fruits-picking, theme entertainments, distinctive urban farming, and one citrus cultural landscape corridors.

　　According to evaluators, the construction of this citrus theme park in the city will fully reveal the charm of citrus culture in Yichang, enrich and perfect the urban leisure tourism products, and provide an elegant recreation site for residents and foreign tourists.
