On December 11th, the basketball court of Three Gorges-Tourism Vocational and Technical College was bustling with noise and excitement, for 78 enterprises cross the country came here to recruit suitable personnel, and more than 1,000 graduates of 2014 year attended the job fair. Most graduates preferred working in non-local enterprises to gain experiences.
Reporters on the scene found that there were more than 50 non-local enterprises attending this fair, among which the majority came from Beijing, Shanghai and Hanzhou including some famous enterprises such as Howard Johnson Hotel in Wuhan city, Beijing South Beauty Restaurant Management Co., Ltd., Tongli Lakeview Hotel, Beijing Guoxin Shuren Hotel Management Co., Ltd. and etc. The HR director of Beijing South Beauty Restaurant Company said that they cared much about the specialty of this college and have found some qualified students after comprehensive quality evaluations.
Zhang Shibin, the director of Enrollment and Vocation Guidance Office in this college indicated that most of these companies, which had a close internship relation with Three Gorges-Tourism Vocational and Technical College, mainly engaged in traveling service and hotel management, and many of them came here on invitation. “I’ll choose the job I like, and will go out of town and have a try”, said Liu Meng Zhi, a student from Huangshi, Hubei Province who sent her resume to Beijing South Beauty Restaurant Management Co., Ltd. She told the reporters that this company, which was well-known for its food and beverage in China, has opened many branch stores in first-tier cities. Therefore, graduates could choose anywhere they like to work. “More importantly, the promotion of this enterprise is open to every employee. There are hopes, if one works hard”.
In the interview, many students preferred to choose a job that can give them better chance to further develop their abilities than to pursue fancy salaries blindly.
Yichang local enterprises, by contrast, were seldom visited by graduates, who thought that salaries and treatments offered by those companies are much lower, and most importantly, the prospect of these companies are uncertain.. (Reporter Cao Yu, Correspondent Gao Donglai)
