According to the meeting held in Yichang on establishing “quality-assured grain and oil” market system in Hubei Province, up till now, Yichang has witnessed the set-up of 109 model stores and chain stores, where residents can buy qualified grain and oil at their own wills.

　　Most of these 109 model stores and chain stores are located in counties and towns with dense population. Currently there are three of those stores opened on Shengli No 3 Road, Xiling No.2 Road and Gangyao Road in the urban area of Yichang city and two more stores are expected to be opened at the end of this year. It’s said that Yichang Grain Administration was in charge of supervising and managing the stores selling quality-assured grain and oil with “Six Same Principles”, namely the same operating strategy, the same logo with words “quality-assured grain and oil in Hubei Province” written in green and white Chinese characters with store numbers on it, the same way of purchasing and distribution, the same standardized services, the same quality commitment, and the same ledger. For those stores, at least 70% operational area of grain and oil should be guaranteed. The chief of Yichang Grain Administration said: “After the opening of the quality-assured stores, the average daily sale has increased 40% and many citizens in Gezhou Dam and Wujiagang come here on buses for shopping.” If customers doubts the quality of these goods bought in these stores, they can return them unconditionally after being tested by relevant departments. （Reporter Mu Ran）
