On December 10th, a seminar about the construction of temporary dwellings in Yichang New District was held. Member of Municipal Standing Committee, Vice Mayor Mao Chuanqiang attended the conference.

　　At present, the District plans to build 94,000 temporary housing units for villagers and city residents with a gross area of 12,103,000 square meters. Among them, 71,000 housing units with a total building area of 9,511,000 square meters are for villagers and 23,000 units with a building area of 2,592,000 square meters are for city residents.

　　In order to accelerate the promotion of temporary dwellings project, Yichang New District, on the principles of “Four First” ---- the road network first, public construction first, placement first and ecology first, has put forward the "123" Goal, namely, the construction of temporary dwellings for  this year and year after will be put into operation in one year; the rest of temporary dwellings in the District to be initiated in 2 years; all of temporary dwellings basically to be completed in 3 years.

　　Thanks to a series of effective measures, Yichang New District witnessed a gross of 25 constructed and under-construction temporary building projects in 2013, with a total area of 3,835,000 square meters, among which 16 are for villagers and 9 for city residents.
