On June 28, when Yichang City Construction Investment Development Co., Ltd. was established, the reporter learned from the opening ceremony that, in the next five years, nearly 50,000 sets of various affordable housing will be built in Yichang City. The scale of the development and construction is expected to be nearly 5 million square meters and the total investment is expected to reach 25 billion RMB.

　　It is informed that, Yichang City Construction Investment Development Co., Ltd. authorized by the Municipal Government, mainly undertakes the fund raising, investment and construction, later stage management of the affordable housing construction in Yichang Urban Area and Yichang New District. At present, besides the items mentioned above, it is also responsible for related infrastructures, land development, old area transformation and so on. This year, 2.835 billion RMB will be invested for projects in our city.

　　According to the plan, the lands, which were returned in the old area transformation, will be used respectively for urban green space, public parking space, farmers market and other urban functional facilities. Lands with development value are going to be used for the supply channels of bidding, auction and listing to increase revenue and balance the capital investment of the old area transformation. Yichang City Construction Investment Development Co., Ltd. will compile the transformation plan about shantytowns in the old area with relevant departments, in order to make overall transformations for shantytowns with serious safety hazards like infrastructure insufficiency, dangerous and old houses concentration, fire safety, etc. Currently, Minjia Home, Minxin Home, Yichang Industrial Technical School and other projects are under construction.
