
On December 28th, SONEI Fashion Orange Wine jointly developed by Italian TOSO and Zigui County Qugu Food Co., Ltd. formally landed Yichang SONEI Wine Shop, and it will totally change the old image of Zigui navel orange in consumers’ mind.
At the launching ceremony, Zigui County Qugu Food Co., Ltd. raised 100000 yuan as charity fund for the children left behind in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, among which 88,000 yuan came from the wine payment of Zhejiang Taizhou Chamber of Commerce and the rest 12000 yuan was donated by Qugu Food Co., Ltd. Additionally, the Three Gorges Reservoir Area Left-behind Children Fund was inaugurated by Anaud de Sanglier, the project manager for great China of TOSO, Li Zhenglun, the board chairman of Zigui County Qugu Food Co., Ltd. and representatives of Taizhou Chamber of Commerce. Li Zhenglun promised to donate 0.5 yuan, as token of love to the children left behind in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, whenever a bottle of orange wine is sold.
On October 24th, 2012, Italian TOSO and Zigui County Qugu Food Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation project of 7 million bottles of orange wine & orange vinegar, one fruit of this project is SONEI Fashion Orange Wine, which is 100% made from Zigui navel oranges and has undergone two-phase low temperature polymicrobic fermentation plus two enzymes method, therefore is rich in VC and amino acids. The success of this project, apart from enhancing the company’s deep processing capacity of tangerines and oranges, will increase the incomes of orange growers in Yichang and the Three Gorges Reservoir Area. In 2013, Zigui County Qugu Food Co., Ltd. has processed 30,000 tons of tangerines and oranges bought from 2,000 households, bringing 30-million-yuan income for the orange growers, and the number of fresh fruit to be processed is expected to hit 50,000 tons by January 2014.
Li Zhenglun, the board chairman of Zigui County Qugu Food Co., Ltd. told the reporter: “My company will strive to deepen cooperation with Italian TOSO, to develop more orange wine products on the basis of consumers’ acceptance, and to promote the deep processing and brand-building of Zigui navel orange, thereby boosting the upgrading of Zigui navel orange industry."
