Now Yichang has the capability to produce the national thinnest glass with only 0.7 mm thickness. On December 26, the first phase of the display device construction project of Yichang-CSG Co., Ltd was officially completed and put into operation, which created the miracle of Yichang major project featuring “signing the contract with the partner, starting the construction of the project, and launching trial production in the same year”.

　　The simple trial-production ceremony was held in the workshop. Huang Chuping, Party Secretary of Yichang CPC Committee, Ma Xuming, Mayor of the Municipal Government, and Zeng Nan, the chairman of CSG Holding Co., Ltd, pressed the crystal ball together to start the production line.

　　The first phase of the project mainly includes constructing production workshops, power stations and related facilities, as well as the relocation to Yichang of the existing display device equipments in Shenzhen. What is especially worth mentioning is the completion of some new production lines, which include four of the national largest fully automated high-vacuum coating production lines, four automatic cutting edging production lines, four steel production lines, seventy-two sets of polishing machines, and ten automatic washing lines, etc.

　　“The completed vacuum coating production line is the most advanced flat panel display coating production line, and our self-developed monolithic glass touch panel products have been verified by Microsoft Win8 touch.” Ke Hanqi, Vice President of CSG Holding Co., Ltd said in his speech, “Our core technologies of film and substrate processing technologies such as magnetron sputtering, nano-lithography, fine lamination, cutting and grinding and polishing have taken the lead in China and reached the advanced level internationally.”

　　“Glass products are mainly used to produce touch screens for portable computers, smart phones, car navigation and display, etc. It is very likely that in the near future the touch screens of our cell phones and car navigation system will be made in Yichang. At present, Yichang CSG is one of the three companies in China and the only one in Hubei Province that has this kind of production capacity.” Said Cao Wendong, the Production Manager of Yichang CSG Display Co., LTD.

　　It is learned that it took only ten months to complete the construction of the first-phase project. Zeng Nan said: “We have created a ‘Yichang speed’ with the project, which means signing the contract with the partner, starting the construction of the project, and launching trial production in the same year”, which is rare in Hubei Province.” In Ke Hanqi’s point of view, the high construction speed of the project should be attributed to the municipal government\'s idea of sparing no efforts to attract investors by creating the favorable investment environment featuring “high-efficiency, low cost and zero barriers to development”.

　　“This is a high-tech and environment-friendly project that can create good economic benefits and high additional value.” Yang Meiren, Director of the Management Committee of Yichang Hi-tech Industry Development Zone, said that they will continue to offer good services to CSG Group, helping CSG Technology Park reach the goal of “creating 3 billion RMB yuan of output value, 400 million RMB yuan of revenue, and creating 4,500 job opportunities”.

　　After the trial production ceremony was over, Huangchu Ping, Ma Xuming, and some other relevant personnel went into workshops to make on-the-spot inspection about the production process, etc.. It is learned that such a high-tech product has an extremely high requirement for production process. For instance, in a completely closed workshop, not a single particle with more than 0.51 microns in diameter is allowed to exist in the space of every cubic meter.

　　Huang Chuping highly applauded the miracle and speed that CSG has created in its investment in Yichang. He thinks that it is a milestone for Hubei Province that the first project of CSG\'s display device has been completed and put into trial production, and CSG set up a model of product transformation and upgrading for other companies. He stressed that the city should further boost the spirit, consolidate the confidence, and strive to take the lead at the provincial-level in deepening the reform comprehensively and transforming the development mode.

　　Zeng Nan has expressed his confidence in building the Fine Glass Dongshan Park into an industrial base with strong competitiveness at both home and abroad. So far CSG has invested 6 billion RMB yuan in Yichang, thus Yichang is home to its largest industrial base in China.

　　It is learned that in the first half of year 2014, CSG’s overall display device project in Shenzhen will be transformed to Yichang. By then, more high-end products of multilayer film, double-sided coating and low resistance film will be produced, and ultimately the vertically integrated industry chain with an annual output of 35,000 tons of ultra-thin electronic glass will be formed. Cao Wendong said the company is the most high-end supplier in the panel display industry in China. Its products have also exported to Japan, South Korea and many other countries, and the demand exceeds the supply.
