On January 7, news conference of the Fourth Group of Construction Projects was held in Yichang New Area. Huang Chuping, standing member of provincial party committee and Secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee, and Ma Xuming, Deputy Secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and mayor, attended the conference.

　　On that day, 10 projects with a total investment of 6.597 billion RMB were started intensively. This is the first large centralized construction activity in Yichang New District this year, which marked the Yichang New District construction has entered an overall acceleration period. Up to now, a total of 102 projects have been started in Yichang New District.

　　Zhou Qing, secretary of Xiling District Party Committee and the vice standing director of Yichang New District Construction Improving Office, introduced that the Fourth Group of centralized starting projects include 3 public service facility items, 2 landscaping items, 2 resettlement housing items, 1 municipal infrastructure item and 2 social investment items.

　　Those projects fully embody the principles of "insisting on the priority of infrastructure, public construction, placement and ecology" and are closely linked with livelihood. Among them, three large - scale public construction items which are the Olympic Sports Center, Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Museum cover 260,000 square meters with an investment of 2,717 billion Yuan in total. Two landscaping items, the Qiuyutai Park and Chengdong Park, cover 1,374 acres and acquire 700 million Yuan in investment. The resident resettlement housing projects on Huoguang village and Liangjiang households with 223,000 square meters of construction area and 510 million Yuan investment were planned to build 1,637 suites. Dianjun Road with a total investment of 620 million Yuan is 6.3 kilometers long and 70 meters wide.

　　According to plan, Chengdong Park, Victoria Harbor (Phase Ⅲ) will be finished in 2014; Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Museum, Huoguang village and Liangjiang household resettlement housing, Dianjun Road（Railway Bridge - Fanba Highway）and Qiuyutai Park will be completed in 2015, and the Olympic Sport Center and Moon Star International City will be built at the end of 2016.

　　Chen Zhenmin, general manager of the construction part-First Construction Limited Company of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, said at the press conference that they would strengthen scientific management, careful organization, standardized operation, keen innovation and effectively supervise various work like the quality, safety, schedule and environmental protection.

　　During the event, Huang Chuping and Ma Xuming led the participants to visit East Station Area, Moji Mountain Park, tourist complexes and other projects that are strongly being promoted and they listened to the introduction of the new projects. Huang Chuping fully affirmed the remarkable results of the Yichang New District construction at the beginning of the year, which had laid a solid foundation for the fast development of construction in the District.

　　Huang Chuping pointed out that this year was a crucial year for Yichang New District construction and we should continue to to ensure safety construction, civilized construction and green construction, promoting the Yichang New District construction sound and fast. And we should further promote the spirits of daring to do, to fight tough, to play an uphill battle, to play a protracted war and build Yichang into a better home which can pride the locals and attract the outsiders in the light of post - modern conception.

　　When he investigated in the Moji Mountain tourism complex, Huang required that the plan and construction should start from a high level, highlight the characteristics and style of the Three Gorges, Yichang local elements, Bachu Culture, and retain the historical culture and city memory. He stressed that we should set up the centurial quality to build Mojishan Tourist Complex into a new bright spot in Jiangnan New District and a heritage masterpiece for future generations.
