It is learned from the City Price Bureau that each low-income family in Yichang urban area (excluding Yilin District) will receive 200 RMB Spring Festival food price subsidies. Over 16,000 families in total will benefit from it before Jan. 20.

　　To solve the living difficulties of low-income residents, the government approved to release spring festival food price subsidies to urban low-income families with the help of Food Price Regulation Foundation. The “Spring Festival Food Price Coupon”, worth of 3,300,000 RMB in total, will be gradually handed out. These coupons can be used to buy food, including rice, flour, grain, oil, meat, poultry, eggs, vegetables and other goods in specified fair-price shops. It is strictly forbidden to buy other goods such as tobacco, alcohol and electrical equipments etc with the coupons. The subsidies will be implemented by the way of “Supply Before Settlement”, which means the specified fair-price shops supply corresponding materials to people receiving subsidies, then they recycle the coupons.
