At the beginning of 2014, some good news about Zigui tourism came that both Huaishuping Village in Jiuwanxi Town and Yinxingtuo Village in Maoping town were officially named as “Hubei Tourism Villages” by Hubei Province Tourism Bureau. Dicui House in the Three Gorges Bamboo Sea was named as five-star farmhouse. Quxi Farmhouse Restaurant in Maoping Town and Xiaguzhuangyuan in Jiuwanxi Town were named as four-star farmhouses, which were not only the achievements of Zigui tourism but also highlighted the rural tourism strength in Zigui. In recent years, based on the unique tourism resources, Zigui integrated strength from all parties and strengthened policy support. The new socialist countryside construction, “beautiful countryside” construction and “happy village” construction were closely integrated in Zigui in order to develop government-led, farmers-centered and enterprises-focused tourism. Zigui has successfully set up the first 7 provincial tourism villages and high-rank tourist farmhouses, which achieved a breakthrough and opened a new rural tourism development prospect.
