On the afternoon of January 22, the city\'s investment promotion conference was held by Yichang High-tech Zone Management Committee, focusing on the promotion of the joint investment between countries and urban area and the construction of a big working structure regarding the city\'s investment. Liu Jianxin, Deputy Mayor of Yichang City, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

　　In 2013, the city fulfilled the investment objectives and tasks. The investment in the new district and industrial investment focusing on six industries with hundreds of billions Yuan achieved remarkable results. The city\'s practical foreign capital in place is 93 billion Yuan, with an increase of 34%. The number of new starting investment projects above 100 million Yuan is 358. A number of well - known enterprises and major projects such as GAC, CSG fine glass, SCOC, Ever Grande, Country Garden, Sanrich and so on were located in Yichang.

　　In 2014, the city will make efforts to integrate the city\'s investment resources, build a "1+8" industrial investment pattern and a big investment structure with resource and job sharing. The city strives to attain 360 new starting investment projects with investment of 100 million Yuan, and 108 billion Yuan of actual capital in place. Facing the world\'s top 500, China\'s top 500, top 500 private enterprises and leading enterprises in different industries at home and abroad, as well as science and technology enterprises with sound growth, the city\'s investment system will focus on attracting large, strong and advantageous enterprises, adding strong and new power for accelerating the construction of a modern megacity.
